The Innovations in Cannabis Research & Clinical Practice poster session at the Medical Cannabis Conference will highlight the work by conference participants who are:
- implementing paradigm shifting clinic practices that center the patient experience
- utilizing new research tools to study the physiologic effects of cannabis
- employing innovative strategies of collecting cannabis use data from clinics, dispensaries, and mobile applications
A Poster Session is a graphic presentation of an author’s research. Authors illustrate their findings by displaying graphs, photos, diagrams and a small amount of text on the poster boards. Poster Sessions will take place in the exhibit hall of the conference venue. Authors will hold discussions with attendees who are circulating among the poster boards.

Timeline:
You will be notified via email if your poster abstract is accepted for a poster presentation. You will receive 1 GA ticket if your poster is accepted. Instructions on preparing your poster presentation and publishing your poster PDF will be emailed to the selected participants. Posters will be reviewed on a rolling basis. Final submissions need to be received September 12, 2024. Final ePoster documents will need to be received 2 weeks prior to the conference.
Poster presenters will interact with conference participants in two ways:
- Attend and present a printed poster at the meeting (each poster presenter must bring a printed version of their poster).
- Upload an ePoster PDF for virtual attendees. ePoster PDFs will be available for on-demand viewing in the online program during the conference and will be published and archived after the meeting in the conference proceedings.
General Information:
- Poster presenters must be individuals who have registered for the meeting.
- Poster sessions are one hour long. There will be 3 poster sessions throughout the day: during morning registration, lunch, and the networking hour following the speaker presentations. During the sessions you will remain by your poster board and share your research with other attendees.
- Posters may be set up starting at 7:00am before the start of the conference.
- Presentations should be taken down by 6:15pm following the networking hour. Display materials not removed following the networking hour will be discarded.
- No audiovisual equipment is permitted for poster presentations.
- Push pins will be available on-site for mounting the displays.
- A chair will be provided for each Poster Session presenter.
Posters should include a Title, Introduction, Methods, Results, Conclusion and Recommendations, Acknowledgments/further information.
Requirements
- Language: All poster presentations must be in English.
- Advertising: Advertising of products is prohibited. Please make sure that your presentation provides objective information based on scientific methods generally accepted in the medical community, and is free of commercial bias.
- Patient anonymity: Kindly make sure that no patient names, hospital ID numbers, or any other information allowing the identification of a patient appear in your presentation material. Patient anonymity must be ensured at all times.
- Copyright reserved material: It is the author’s responsibility to ensure that any part of the poster (figures, tables, images, etc.) is free of any third party right and/or cited correctly.
- Text: Text should be well structured, concise, and to the point; presenting only enough data to support your conclusions. Key facts should be highlighted.
- Content: If you wish to direct the viewer to further work, please insert a hyperlink in your poster to allow access to further information. Use bullets, numbering, as well as graphics, tables and images.
